I look forward to the full bloom of my weeping cherry tree on my front lawn. When it is in bloom, all I see is pink as I walk by my front door. It is a thrill I adore!
Happy Springtime ! For minute there you had me thinking that tree was blooming already, 'til I saw your comment above... have to wait just a little longet yet I guess. Here in France we've had our first week of really nice weather after a long gray cold winter... wwwaaaaahhhhhooooo !!! Was just looking through your pix posted here, will be back...
Owen....Happy Spring to you too! I consider the 1st day of Spring to be March 20th, and I'll tell ya why... Do you remember, well, of cos you don't, cos you don't live in NY, USA...heehee...anyhoos...back in 1956, March 19th, it started to snow, and snow and snow...it was a blizzard! And on March 20th, I was born!...a whole month early! There is much more to this story and I hear it every March 20th from my mom and dad...I love them! Imagine that?......a blizzard on the 1st day of Spring.
Thanks, Dave! Yes, the blooming cherry tree is a beautiful site to see! BTW....you are getting really good at writing poetry! I can't wait to see you post more on Bulldogpoetry.

Glad you like my attempt at writing. When I type for my posts, I usually go with whatever pops into my head at the time. Sometimes it works, other times, not so much. I like dry humor, and am not afraid to poke fun at myself.
With age comes wisdom, it's true, so make sure the wisdom you gain is worthwhile.
I thought my self immature till I had a baby. A baby is a sure way to mature oneself. So I had two more! And now that they are grown and mature, they call me immature!
It takes two to tango. It takes two to marry. It takes two to keep it going.
Treat words like grains of salt. Grab hold of them and learn, but allow some to slip through your hands.
And above all else....I give thanks to God....everyday!
