Straw delight

This is one of my favorite photos that I took with my old Nikon F a few summers ago. It takes better pictures than the digital Canon I have been using now.

Heavy Tears

Not much of a picture to look at, but it reflects my mood today after receiving news of my long-time friend's passing. This photo was taken last summer at a bar-b-q when all of a sudden dark clouds rolled in and one huge heavy rain drop fell, followed by a trillion more. The rain drops were so big and it was so dark that my flash went off, making the drops look like snow.

2 Thing Challenge: Free/ Range

Seems the geese have decided to stay on Long Island all year round, as the weather has changed over the years. They don't have a need to migrate anymore. I am always in awe as they fly in formation but on the ground they have free range to go where ever they want...golf courses, parking lots, fields, parks....and they leave behind their gifts of natural fertilizes, so ya better watch out where you're walking or you'll step right in it!

Tracks to somewhere

These tracks go the end or the beginning of Long Island, NY, depending on which way you are coming from. Montauk....a great get-away!

Tracks to nowhere

As I was taking it nice and easy on the monorail, all of a sudden out of nowhere these tracks appeared.....well! I just happened to have my camera out so I was able to get this shot. These tracks are part of that steep scary roller coaster ride in the photo below this one.

Are we there yet?

Ever get on a ride that didn't look so bad from the ground but than when you are on it you find yourself wondering when it will be over. Well, this one looked bad from the ground so I never got on......

Happy Easter

Red tulips and grape hyacinths adorn the bed around my mailbox.

The culprit

Here is the little culprit who caused pumpkin to lose an eye.

Being tall and feeling small

At five foot, six, New York City has a way of making me feel so small.

The Hustle and Bustle

Ahhh, the soundtrack of NYC...shoes shuffling, horns bellowing, near and distant voices , street musicians playing, and the smell of sidewalk dirt-water dogs and slightly burnt pretzels mix in the air with exhaust fumes. And I.....I truck along.

New York City at Night

No matter how many times I go into the city, I always stand in awe.

2 Thing Challenge Solemn/ Playful

You can't take life too seriously and here is a perfect example of that....my mom and dad goofing off when I ask them to pose so that I could take a nice picture of them.
