To the Simple Pleasures
Transparent ghostly steam
escapes into the chilled air
as I caress your warmth.
Indulging in all that I can
before your heavenly body
becomes cool to the touch,
I cup you in between
my long fingered hands
as you warm me to the bone.
Savoring every drop of you
I drink slowly,
never wanting you to end.
You are my best friend
in the late frosty night
or just before dawn.
I can have you any way
my little heart desires...
black, creamy or sweet.
You are my peaceful moment
in a world gone mad.
You warm my worries away...
Thank you,
my little cup o' Joe!

Dirt cake
Dirt cake, made from Oreo cookies, Cool Whip and Instant vanilla pudding.
A recipe that I've been making since my kids were little.
*First one I put in a plastic terracotta-looking flowerpot
and decorated it with a plastic daisy and some gummy worms.
*Second one I made was on Halloween, where I spread the dirt cake
out in a glass Pyrex baking dish and used Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies
for grave stones and little plastic ghost and witches all around
and candy corns for a picket fence.
*Third one I made, I was going to a bar-b-q, so I put the dirt cake in
individual plastic cups and hung a gummy worm off the side of each cup.
*And this past family reunion my daughter comes over with dirt cake in
a plastic toy wheelbarrow....how clever is that?

The answer
to the question:
is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?
It's simple, just ask Vivian!
A fruit has natural sugar in it and taste sweet.
A vegetable rarely has sugar in it and sometime taste tart and yucky.
So therefore a tomato is a vegetable!
Any questions or arguments?

2 Things Challenge Prize/ Door
What a prize I found.
A heart-shaped key hole door.
If this door could talk,
what stories I could hear.
Stories of long ago before I was born,
of how it was to live in the 1800's
with no electric, only candles and oil lamps.
No TV, computers or cell phones,
just good old conversation with loved ones,
story telling, games and classic books.
Early to bed and early to rise
along with the sun's light.
Everybody had a job to do
in the house and on the farm.
And Sunday....Sunday was a day of rest
and worship.
Oh, what a prize I found in this door!
