There are so many different kinds of chess sets available, but I've not seen this before.
Very interesting. They don't look like they're enjoying their work too much, however.
I never learned how to play chess. Maybe that's the reason. Too much like work?

This chess set is one of a kind, hand painted by my mom on ceramic, about 25 years ago. Growing up in my house, we all had to learn the game of chess. My dad started playing when he was a teenager with his friends. One of his friends is now a chess master and has written a few books on it.
I do believe these chess pieces come alive at night when everyone is sleeping. ( grinning )
